Celestial Night, an offspring of Ebb Tide, yields lots of double-ruffled, 3–4" blooms of deep plum-purple on a hardy, rounded bush. The glossy but leathery-looking foliage is medium to dark green, so the plant's full and vibrant flowers can easily be seen from a distance. Its pleasant, slight fragrance makes it an exceptional landscape rose as well as a superb addition to fresh-cut arrangements. Its spectacular appearance belies its scant maintenance requirements.
