There aren't many fragrant dark red climbers in the world, and since 1958, this proven performer has been the best of them! Its large buds open into tight clusters of large, well-formed, 4–5" blooms on new and old wood, so there's no need to prune off this year's flowers. The full, shapely blooms bear 30–35 deep velvety red petals and contrast beautifully with the glossy, dark green leaves. No wonder it's the rose that couples most often give to each other! Skilled at scaling trellises, arbors and pillars. Spectacular in the garden as well as in floral arrangements. Warm nighttime temperatures produce the best bloom colour.
